Mezzanine

A work in progress

This is the bare bones of a piece I just started working on, which I’m hoping will grow into something very very meaty. I imagine this will be the only version of it I post before the final thing. What’s interesting about this one, is it sort of came to me in a hysterical, panicky way one night when I was lying in bed listening to music - it’s one of those scary ones that seems to need to crawl out of my head on it’s own accord. I put together the sketch of it listening to the midwife song on repeat, the name of which is also the working title of the piece, as tribute.

Interested if anyone notices any of the themes that are coagulating here (aside from the obvious). Bon voyage!
